It took 2 months ...

It only took 2 months after my daughter was born for me to start looking at making dresses for her. I tried to resist but my mom started it by asking me to look for some smocking patterns for her. She likes to do smocking and I love hand made clothes for my daughter. We are now flipping through patterns for Bishop dresses, smocking magazines, and smocking plates.

I did manage to finish A-'s quilt before she was born and we had it at the hospital with us. Here are a few pictures of the hand quilting, overall quilt, and the back.

I also finished a diaper bag before she was born. I used Amy Butler's Nappy Bag pattern. It has two large pockets on the inside and two pockets for bottles. Unfortunately the 4 smaller pockets on the sides are a bit to narrow and deep for practical use when you add the bottle pockets.

I've only completed two quick receiving blankets for a friend since A-'s been born but I didn't take any pictures of those. Unfortunately my machine is in the shop because it got fried in a thunder storm. So not much sewing can take place in the next few weeks.

Here are my "bathing beauties" while we visited the beach last week. My hasn't A- grown in just a month!
