For almost a year now I've been working with my friend Teresa designing the BOM for our quild, River Country Quilters (RCQ). I've had lots of fun searching for appropriate blocks in EQ6,designing blocks, trying out different fabric combinations, writing directions, and seeing the actual blocks during the raffle. I've left Virginia so I'm helping Teresa with the blocks from long distance. As a result you may see some of our BOM directions posted here as a means of passing them on to Teresa. Below is the June BOM for the guild. It was inspired by the summer season and the Fourth of July holiday coming up. The block is called Summer Winds. Copyrights belong to the guild I suppose. Quilting Books
- Joanne Larsen Line: Quilts From The Quilmaker's Gift
Just as inspiring as the story books it comes form. This would be a great book for a beginner, novice, or expert quiltmaker. The quilts in the pictures are very inspiring and the instructions for each project are laid out very well. The authur gives a fabric list for each quilt for several sizes and then explains the construction process. - Jeff Brumbeau: Quiltmaker's Journey

I fell in love with this book as soon as I saw it at my local quilt shop. It practically leapt into my stack of things I was purchasing. I love the arework. Quilt patterns and fabric images are so beautifully woven into each scene. I've bought every book associated with this one and have loved them all. I took a class from Marsha one year at the MAQF and enjoyed it immensely. I love flipping through this book to see the beautiful quilts.
